Alpha Flight Controls LITE Troubleshooting

Use this guide to resolve common setup, connection, calibration, and simulator issues with the Alpha Flight Controls LITE.

My Alpha Flight Controls LITE is not being detected by my computer​

  • Ensure the USB-C cable is securely connected to the Alpha Flight Controls LITE
  • Try a different USB port
  • Avoid USB hubs if possible
  • Restart your computer and reconnect the device
  • Confirm the device appears in Windows Game Controllers or your operating system input settings
  • Try another USB-C to USB-A cable if available

For best results, connect the Alpha Flight Controls LITE directly to your computer before launching your simulator.

The Alpha Flight Controls LITE is connected but not working in my simulator​

  • Confirm the device is recognized by your operating system
  • Open your simulator control settings
  • Verify that the Alpha Flight Controls LITE is selected
  • Assign or verify pitch and roll axes
  • Check POV, rocker switch, and button bindings
  • Restart the simulator after connecting the device
  • Remove duplicate or conflicting assignments from other controllers

My yoke controls are reversed or too sensitive​

This may include reversed pitch, reversed roll, overly sensitive movement, or inconsistent control response.

  • Adjust pitch and roll sensitivity curves in your simulator
  • Reverse axes if needed
  • Add a small dead zone if the aircraft drifts
  • Reset and rebind controls if behavior seems inconsistent
  • Test the yoke in another aircraft or simulator profile

The yoke feels off-center or uncalibrated​

  • Disconnect and reconnect the Alpha Flight Controls LITE
  • Ensure the yoke is centered before launching the simulator
  • Restart your simulator
  • Recalibrate through Windows if needed
  • Adjust dead zones and sensitivity settings
  • Confirm the yoke is mounted securely and not under physical strain

My buttons, rocker switches, or POV switch are not responding​

  • Verify each input is assigned in your simulator
  • Test the buttons in Windows Game Controllers
  • Remove conflicting bindings from other connected devices
  • Reconnect the Alpha Flight Controls LITE and restart your simulator
  • Load or reimport Honeycomb profiles where available

My simulator is detecting duplicate inputs​

Duplicate inputs can occur when multiple controllers are connected or when the simulator assigns controls automatically.

  • Remove duplicate pitch and roll assignments from other devices
  • Disconnect unused controllers temporarily
  • Review automatically assigned simulator profiles
  • Clear bindings you do not intend to use
  • Reassign only the controls needed for your aircraft

The aircraft drifts left, right, up, or down​

  • Verify the yoke is centered before loading into the aircraft
  • Add or increase dead zones for pitch and roll
  • Check for conflicting trim or autopilot bindings
  • Remove duplicate pitch and roll assignments
  • Test with another aircraft to confirm whether the issue is aircraft-specific

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 controls are not mapped correctly​

  • Download Honeycomb's available MSFS 2024 mapping guidance or profiles
  • Confirm the profile is assigned to the Alpha Flight Controls LITE
  • Verify pitch and roll axes manually
  • Reassign missing button or switch controls
  • Restart the simulator after making profile changes

X-Plane controls are not mapped correctly​

  • Open X-Plane joystick settings
  • Calibrate the yoke
  • Assign pitch and roll axes
  • Assign buttons and switches manually
  • Save your profile after configuration

Prepar3D controls are not mapped correctly​

  • Open controller settings in Prepar3D
  • Assign pitch and roll axes
  • Remove duplicate inputs
  • Calibrate if needed
  • Save your control configuration

The Alpha Flight Controls LITE is not working on Xbox​

The Alpha Flight Controls LITE is designed for PC and Mac.

For Xbox support, use the Alpha Flight Controls XPC with supported simulators and the Honeycomb Xbox Hub when connecting compatible Honeycomb hardware.

Firmware, profile, or download issues​

  • Close all simulation software before installing profiles or tools
  • Confirm you downloaded the correct file for Alpha Flight Controls LITE
  • Try a different browser if a download does not start
  • Restart your simulator after importing profiles
  • Restart your computer if the device does not appear after setup

General performance issues​

  • Ensure your simulator is up to date
  • Check for Honeycomb profiles or updates
  • Remove duplicate controller assignments
  • Test the Alpha Flight Controls LITE in another aircraft
  • Test the yoke in another simulator or input utility
